Depending on your starting city, they go as follows:

WSA's Italian Detour Venice-Rome Itinerary

Days 1 & 2 - Explore Venice and see the Doge's Palace

Days 3 & 4 - Connect over to the world famous Cinque Terre for a beautiful day of hiking through nature

Days 5 & 6 - Stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa for a selfie, and continue on to the Renaissance city of Florence.

Days 7, 8 & 9 - Head to Rome where you'll skip the line into the Colosseum, Forum, Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel all included!

Day 10 - Your adventure is sadly over. We'll have receommendations on how to connect out of town to the airport.

WSA's Italy Detour Rome - Venice Itinerary

Days 1, 2 & 3 - Arrive into Rome and skip the line into the Colosseum, Forum, Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel!

Days 4 & 5 - Head to the Renaissance city of Florence to dive into the student culture and nightlife

Days 6 & 7 - Head to the Cinque Terre with a quick stop in Pisa for a selfie in front of the Leaning Tower. Take all of Day 7 for a hike through the trails of the Cinque Terre

Days 8 & 9 - Connect over to Venice for the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica

Day 10 - Trip over :( we'll forward directions to the airport!

Nights in Each City

No matter the order of your itinerary, your WSA Detour includes 3 nights in Rome and 2 nights in Florence, Cinque Terre & Venice each!

With this do-it-yourself package, all trip details and arrangements will be made for you and put together in your own customized Italy Extravaganza Destination Guide for you to print out or take with you on any mobile device. Arrive anytime the day of your booking, explore the city with us, and then head out any time on the day of your departure.

Your trip is over on Day 10 (inclusive) from the starting day of your trip. If you start in Rome, connect out of Venice. And if you start in Venice, fly out of Rome.

Here's what you should bring on your adventure:

- Comfortable walking shoes and layers

- Pack as light as possible to make your transfers easy!

- Swim suit (you may be swimming in the Cinque Terre)

- DON'T bring anything you can't afford to lose i.e. laptop, nice camera, too much cash, sentimental stuff, jewelery. Italy is a beautiful country, but it comes with a pickpocketing problem. Keep that in mind at all times. If something is stolen, it's gone forever!

Important Note About Availability and Holiday Pricing Conditions

As prices are standard across WSA’s products, WSA Europe reserves the right to cancel Detour bookings due to higher pricing or lack of availability as a result of local holidays. These events include but are not limited to: New Year’s and Christmas, Carnivale in Venice, King’s Day in Amsterdam and Easter in Rome and any other festivals, concerts or events going on. In these cases it is possible for WSA Europe to contact the customer and discuss alternative accommodation/pricing. Customers will be given the option for a full refund, or change in price only after consent from the customer.

Here's how your WSA Detour works:  

1. Choose the dates and destination you'd like. Pick the day you wish to START your tour in Italy in either Venice OR Rome. Our two Detour packages are the same except go in opposite order:Rome-Florence-Cinque Terre-Venice or Venice-Cinque Terre-Florence-Rome.

2. We'll get to work on your arrangements, and we'll send your Detour Package via email no later than 5 days before the trip (though we usually get them out much sooner).

3. Get to your starting city (Rome or Venice), and fly out on day 10 (from the other city)! And simply follow our reservations for your accommodations, itinerary, sightseeing, etc

4. Have the trip of a lifetime!

This trip is non refundable unless travel insurance is purchased at the time of booking.
